A Production Blueprint is designed to help you understand the production itself — budget structure, crew, shoot requirements, risks, logistics and execution options — before you decide how, or with whom, to produce it.

Yes. The Blueprint is prepared for you and is yours to use, including with another production partner, subject to the Blueprint's terms and stated limitations.

No. Technology may support parts of the workflow, but every Assessment and Blueprint is reviewed through a producer-led process before it reaches you.

What exactly is a Production Blueprint?

A producer-prepared plan for your specific project: what it realistically costs, how many shoot days it needs, the crew and equipment involved, the locations and logistics, the timeline, the risks and where money can be saved. A quote tells you a number. A Blueprint tells you what the project actually requires.

A quote is a price for someone else's assumptions. A Blueprint documents the assumptions first — scope, days, crew, locations, post — so the number means something and you can compare vendors on the same basis.

Is the Production Assessment really free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Submitting your brief costs nothing. A producer reviews it and sends back an indicative budget range, recommended shoot days, complexity, broad timeline and the key cost drivers. There is no obligation to buy anything afterwards.

No. It is an indicative, producer-prepared plan based on the information you share. A firm quotation follows a locked script, confirmed schedule and agreed scope.

The Production Blueprint includes one clarification or revision. Blueprint Pro is an active planning engagement and includes a producer-led session, arranged with you by email, plus one revision.

Is my Blueprint fee credited if you produce the project?

If FilmyDistrict is commissioned to execute the same project, the applicable amount paid for your Blueprint is credited toward the final FilmyDistrict production fee, subject to the final production agreement.

Is GST charged?

No. FilmyDistrict is not currently GST-registered, so no GST is charged or collected. The amount shown — ₹2,499 for a Production Blueprint or ₹4,999 for Blueprint Pro — is the total amount you pay.

What receipt or invoice will I receive?

After payment you will receive an automated payment confirmation by email from our payment gateway. Because no GST is charged, we do not issue a tax invoice; the confirmation email serves as your proof of payment. If you need a formal receipt or a specific reference for your records, email hello@filmydistrict.com with your project ID and we will send one.

Is the payment refundable?

Production Assessment and Production Blueprint services are prepared individually for your project and a producer begins work as soon as payment is confirmed. For this reason the fee is non-refundable once payment is completed, including if you change your mind, pause the project or the budget range differs from your expectation. Yes. Uploads go to private storage, are never publicly listed, and are accessed only by the producer working on your brief through short-lived signed links.
